News from Rusty Bolt Theatre!

Filmmaking is a time-consuming craft, which is why this blog hasn't been updated in a while...at least that's my excuse!

"Espressivo: A Love Song to Coffee" has been chosen to be screened at the 3rd annual Classical Arts Film Festival at the Jarvis Conservatory in Napa, California! We are so honoured to be part of this event! We (meaning the rats, the robot and me!) will be in film block four. Here is a link to the event:

This little film has also won two awards since last I posted - Best Animation at the Women Over 50 Film Festival and Best Music Video at the 300 Seconds Short Film Festival!!! As Well, "The Voyage of the Golden Hind-er" won Best Animation at the SeeMor Film Festival! A great season for Rusty Bolt!

Now, new releases!
"Essentially Alys" is completed, a humorous adventure story of a strange little being in search of herself. Here's the trailer:

And here's the finished film - mixed media animation, Seat of the Pants Film Lab style:

I have also finished a one-minute mixed-media elegy to those seafarers who did not return from voyages of discovery throughout history, "Requiem for the Lost":
